I was in the top row so I had a GOOD view of them. Several of the Marines who were in the copters sat near us during the second half. The copters are awesome but the marines are heroes.
Linda Tillman grew up sailing Snipes at Diamond Lake. She sailed with a girlfriend and one of the best parts about that was beating the guys. You get the idea that Linda is competitive. Linda liked that the Snipe Class was a friendly Class and that everyone sailed with integrity. The established Snipers set the example. Now it's Linda and Dick's turn to be the examples for new people coming into the Class. She's still excited to be out in the Snipe because it is such a team effort. You sit close together and you need to coordinate your movements to make sure the boat is going its fastest. She says when you get a lift, the boat just soars -- with such a great smile on her face.

Buzz started sailing young wit his brother Frank. They sort of fell into the Snipe by accident but clearly they liked it. Pretty soon the whole family was sailing Snipes and winning championships. He liked the boat because it was easy to handle and he could have a girl crew for him -- girls being smaller and more agile in the boat. That's always an important part of having Serious Fun to go along with the Serious Sailing. Buzz sailed with Dick Tillman down in South America and he's got a great story about Dick's choice of foul weather gear.

Myself my Uncle his Girlfriend Luisa my Nan & Pop trekked over to the great barrier reef (green island) with the great adventures boat and spent the afternoon out there snorkling the reef and on the glass bottom boat. Tthe water wasnt all that clear and was a bit shaky out there. Visability was only about a metre and a half. But over all was a good day spent. song: harmonic oasis
